The film "The Grandpa from Brazil" documents the life of Mr. Kenichi Konno, who emigrated to Brazil at the age of 19 in 1931. Konno went abroad in search of a decent job, and he vowed to return after achieving success.
Doors open at 1:00. Dinner at a nearby restaurant for those interested will follow the presentations after 5:00. All proceeds from the event will go to support Tohoku relief efforts.

Let's get to know each other (without the pressure of an event to run or a presentation to attend), review the beginning of 2011, and talk about upcoming events while enjoying authentic Brazilian food and samba music at an intimate restaurant/bar in the heart of Osaka.
Part 1 - The Post-Japan, Doctoral Experience in TESOL: Pursuing Language and Sexuality Research
