This is a discussion list for NPO JALT, the Japan Association for Language Teaching. We are a nonprofit organisation dedicated to the improvement of language teaching and learning both within Japan and internationally. While the list is open to all, the focus is primarily on discussion of issues related to language teaching in Japan, as well as other issues of relevance to our membership. Please be aware that content deemed as offensive by the list moderators will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to, personal attacks on other list members; profanity, or offensive comments. Let's keep it civil and clean. Please note that the opinions expressed by the membership of this list should not be read as representation of the opinions of the Board of Directors. Using jalt-chat
To post a message to all the list members, send email to jalt-chat@jalt.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to jalt-chat
Subscribe to jalt-chat by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
